SEN Teacher Permanent, Full-Time Position

Location: Borehamwood
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role: An SEN specialist school in Borehamwood is looking to appoint a dedicated and skilled SEN Teacher to join their team ASAP. This full-time, temp-perm role is ideal for an educator passionate about supporting students with autism and related needs, including speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and behavioural regulation.

You'll be working in a nurturing, well-equipped setting with small class sizes and a strong staff-to-student ratio. The school is committed to delivering personalised education that enables every learner to thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Designing and delivering tailored lessons to meet the varied needs of pupils with complex SEN, particularly autism
  • Establishing clear routines and using visual aids to support communication and learning
  • Collaborating with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive support
  • Monitoring and reporting progress in line with EHCP goals and individual targets
  • Applying evidence-based approaches to promote emotional regulation and independence
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and contributing to the wider school community
Qualifications
  • QTS preferred, though not essential
