Job summary

Overview

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Provide KS1–KS4 Maths and English support on a 1:1 basis to students who are not currently accessing mainstream education.
• Assess current ability and reintroduce education into their routine while a suitable school provision is found.
• Deliver lessons in a local library or the student’s home.
• Support students with Autism, ADHD and other SEND needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• QTS or equivalent.
• Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.
• UK classroom teaching experience.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.

Position Details

• Hours: 10–15 hours a week (during the school day).
• Start date: ASAP.
• Duration: ongoing.

Eligibility

• Hold the right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced Child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional child-related references.
