SEN Maths Teacher - Wirral

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide structured maths lessons tailored to students with needs such as Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and SLD.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, including visual and multi-sensory strategies, to meet wide-ranging abilities.
  • Apply positive behaviour support and emotional coaching to create a nurturing and productive learning environment.
  • Foster Resilience: Encourage students to build confidence in problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Provide Holistic Support: Assist with daily routines and individual care as needed.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • UK-Based Experience: Proven classroom experience teaching in a special educational needs setting in the UK.
  • Expertise: Experience with adapted maths or life-skills frameworks is crucial.
  • Availability: The ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Compliance: You must have UK work eligibility (sponsorship is not available) and a valid Enhanced DBS certificate.
