Job summary

A leading educational agency is seeking Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support KS3 and KS4 learners in a special needs environment in Greenwich. The ideal candidates will have Level 2 or Level 3 HLTA qualifications and experience in supporting students with complex needs. Overview

Remedy are currently recruiting for a busy Secondary special educational needs school located in Greenwich and are looking to recruit fantastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work in their KS3 and KS4 learners. Experience with learners with physical disability is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Support KS3 and KS4 learners in a busy SEN environment, focusing on high standards of teaching support.
  • Lead a class without a teacher present, as required, to support learning continuity.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement tailored interventions for students with complex needs (SEND).
Qualifications
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification.
  • A strong understanding or passion for working with individuals with complex and profound special educational needs.
  • Practical experience of leading a class without a teacher present.
  • We welcome applications from candidates not experienced with SEND but who have previous Secondary HLTA experience. We will also consider applications from teacher training graduates who want SEND experience before embarking on their future teaching career.
