Salary: MPS1-4 + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

About the School

The Role

We are seeking a creative and patient SEN DT Teacher to deliver engaging and accessible Design & Technology lessons to students with moderate learning needs. You will adapt the curriculum to ensure all students can participate meaningfully, developing practical skills, problem‑solving abilities, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver differentiated DT lessons tailored to students with moderate additional needs.
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive practical learning environment.
  • Adapt tools, materials, and teaching strategies to ensure accessibility and engagement.
  • Support students to develop practical skills, independence, and teamwork.
  • Assess progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and therapists.
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and safeguarding at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Hold QTS and have experience teaching DT.
  • Have experience or a strong interest in SEN and inclusive education.
  • Be patient, adaptable, and creative in your teaching approach.
  • Understand health and safety requirements within DT settings.
  • Be committed to supporting students' personal and academic development.
