Pay Rate: £280-£300 DAILY UMBRELLA

Hours: 36 hours Mon to Fri (09:00 AM - 05:00 PM)

Duration: Initial 3 month contract

Location: HYBRID WORKING - Office based 1-2 days a week from Dockside, Newham

Description

To manage a defined caseload of children and youth\'s (0-25) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring Education, Health and Care (EHC) processes comply with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice. The role ensures high-quality, timely EHC assessments, plans, consultations, and placements that promote positive outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Hold responsibility for a defined caseload of children and youth\'s.
  • Lead the end-to-end EHC Needs Assessment process, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales (20 and 6 weeks).
  • Work collaboratively with youth\'s, parents and carers ensuring a person centred approach.
  • Gather and quality-assure multi-agency advice (education, health, social care) to inform decisions.
  • Draft, amend and finalise high-quality EHCPs with SMART, outcome-focused targets.
  • Ensure outcomes incorporate Preparing for Adulthood principles from Year 9 onwards.
