SEN Assistant

Specialist Teaching Assistant - SEND Support (Primary) - Ealing

Location: Ealing, West London
Contract: Term Time Only, Full-Time (January Start - July at least)
Salary: £95-£105 per day (depending on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ealing is seeking a dedicated Specialist Teaching Assistant to support primary‑aged pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and Speech & Language needs. This full‑time role begins in January and will run until at least July, with strong potential to continue beyond this.

Role Overview

Provide tailored 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND, including Autism and Speech & Language needs

Support children to access learning, follow routines, and build confidence

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to deliver targeted interventions

Build trusting relationships to enhance engagement, progress, and wellbeing

Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Candidate Requirements

Experience supporting primary‑aged children with SEND

Calm, patient, and consistent approach when managing different needs

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Background in education, SEND, or related support roles is desirable

Hours: 8:15am - 3:45pm, Term Time Only

Start: January (until at least July)
