A leading UK transport company based in Manchester seeks a dedicated individual for train maintenance. You'll be part of a team keeping trains safe and ready for service with varied responsibilities including cleaning and assisting engineers. Training is provided, no engineering qualification required. Flexibility for shift work is essential. SALARY : 39373 per annum

HOURS : 35 per week
People come to Northern for trains they can rely on and that starts long before they set foot on board. Behind the scenes our maintenance teams make sure every train is safe clean and ready to run keeping our network moving and our customers happy.
As part of this team you’ll help us look after our fleet keeping things running smoothly spotting issues before they become problems and making sure our trains leave the depot in top condition. It’s hands‑on work that makes a real difference every day.
You’ll be part of a busy fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same. Here’s what your role could include:
You’ll work shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends and Bank Holidays so flexibility is key. You’ll also need to live within 60 minutes drive of your TrainCare Centre.
You don’t need an engineering qualification; we’ll give you all the training you need. What matters most is your curiosity, willingness to learn and pride in doing a great job.
You’ll also need to pass a safety‑critical medical assessment including checks on general health, vision, hearing, colour vision and drugs and alcohol.
