SEMH Teaching Assistant - SEN School (Wembley). Start: ASAP | Full-Time | Competitive Pay. Pertemps Education is proud to be working closely with a highly supportive SEN school in Wembley that is seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and is looking to make a real difference in their education and wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students who present SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils both academically and emotionally, promoting positive behaviour strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create an inclusive and safe learning environment.
  • Help students build confidence, resilience, and independence.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience working with students with SEMH needs (essential).
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
