Are you passionate about supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs?
We’re looking for a caring and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Loughton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, providing 1:1 and small group support to children who need extra help to engage with learning and develop their confidence.

The school is well-regarded, with a supportive staff team and a strong focus on nurturing every child. You’ll be working alongside dedicated teachers and support staff who truly care about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing 1:1 support for a child with SEMH needs.

Supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development.

Helping the child engage with lessons and access learning.

Building positive, trusting relationships.

Using patience, empathy, and consistency to encourage progress.

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plans.

Experience working with children with SEMH needs (school, childcare, or similar setting).
