SEMH Teacher - Rochdale (Full-Time, Permanent)

Area: Rochdale, Greater Manchester

Start Date: ASAP - September 2025

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

This is a full-time, permanent SEMH teaching role in a specialist SEMH school in Rochdale where teachers help pupils grow academically, socially and emotionally.

  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans and behaviour strategies
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic care and progress
  • Track pupil progress, contribute to reports, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching SEMH or in specialist settings
  • Strong understanding of SEMH, SEND, and positive behaviour strategies
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching and pastoral care
  • Passion for helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their full potential
Be Eligible
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Have an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to apply)
  • Be able to provide two professional child-related references

This is a full-time, permanent role starting ASAP in September 2025.
