This primary alternative provision provides young people with alternative and special education for them to progress and succeed in sustained education or employment through high‑quality teaching and learning based on effective relationships that enable the achievement of life skills and meaningful qualifications.

All children and young people have the capacity to learn regardless of their life situation and it’s their role to unlock that learning potential. This AP applies their methodology to open the door to learning and to re‑engage excluded or marginalised young people, whose attainment has fallen behind their peers in mainstream education.

Suitable candidates will…
  • Be working with small groups of up to a maximum of six students at a time in a unique learning environment.
  • Have recent teaching experience and good references.
  • Be passionate about teaching and have strong classroom‑management skills.
  • Be offered a fixed 12‑month temporary contract (with the possibility of permanent employment after 1 year).
  • Be paid in‑line with the Main Pay Scale for London Fringe on the qualified teacher scale for candidates with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Unqualified teachers and HLTAs are welcome to apply if you have relevant experience.
