Location: North Somerset
Pay: £90 to £100 per day (PAYE)
Hours: 8.30am to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday

A fantastic alternative provision in North Somerset is looking for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant who loves getting stuck in, staying active, and supporting young people in a hands‑on environment. The school uses outdoor learning to help pupils regulate, connect, and re‑engage with education, so no two days feel the same.

You don’t need experience to start, just patience, resilience, and a willingness to learn. The team are incredibly supportive, with full training and guidance from day one.

What the role involves

• Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs through movement and practical tasks


• Joining in with forest school‑style sessions, outdoor projects, and team‑building activities


• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence, and communication


• Helping with regulation strategies, from sensory breaks to calming routines


• Being a steady, reliable adult for pupils who really benefit from consistency


• Working closely with a friendly, nurturing staff team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some case, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
