Job Role Details

As Seed Sales Specialist you will develop a profitable sales territory promoting and selling seed varieties and brands to progressive farms throughout the East of England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales targets for product groups, varieties and brands agreed with the company for each financial year.
  • Agree and implement a sales business plan for development and retention of profitable accounts.
  • Produce sales forecasts by customer, species and variety for each sales campaign.
  • Visit farmers to promote and sell the company product portfolio, developing a multi‑crop offering where possible.
  • Develop relationships with independent agronomy groups and farm groups to influence decisions at farm level.
  • Follow up company marketing campaigns at farm level.
  • Attend trade shows, set‑up and manage demo sites across events to support specific sales and marketing activity.
  • Plan and present farmer and agronomist meetings and demonstrations.
  • Attend company sales meetings and training programmes.
  • Continuously develop personal skills, commercial and technical, and drive personal development plan.
  • Adhere to the company credit and pricing policies.
  • Report area and market activities to company management using CRM and relevant IT solutions.
  • Manage time and activity with customers using the company CRM sales system.
  • Create marketing lists to drive marketing intelligence and social media via CRM.
  • Use IT tools to input orders and open new accounts.

  • Proven track record and experience in a similar agricultural sales role.
  • Practical farming experience.

  • IT literacy.
