Job summary

A leading security services provider is seeking a Security Officer for its Tewkesbury site. This full-time role requires regular patrolling and monitoring to ensure safety and security. The shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off. The ideal candidate should have experience in security, although it’s not essential. Must be able to achieve Developed Vetting security clearance. Qualifications

  • Ideally previous security experience, but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn and show required experience level is valued.
  • Must achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.

Job description
Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Ashchurch Tewkesbury

This role is full time 42 hours per week and is based on the Ashchurch site. The shift pattern is 4 days on 4 days off 4 nights on 4 days off.

The role

You will provide around the clock security cover at the Tewkesbury site, ensuring the safety and well‑being of all personnel, visitors and premises.

Responsibilities
  • Securing premises through regular patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment and inspecting buildings, equipment and access points.
  • Obtaining help by sounding alarms including marshalling.
  • Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing staff and visitors of policy and procedures and deterring trespassers.
  • Compiling reports by recording observations, information, incidents and surveillance activities.
  • Maintaining environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
Essential experience

  • Ideally you will have previous security experience, but this is not essential.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
