Azure Cloud Engineer

Walter Everett is a recruitment company, and we are currently helping our client - a global consultancy and Managed Service Provider (MSP) - to hire an Azure Cloud Engineer.

You'll be working within an MSP environment alongside a skilled team of engineers and architects who deliver technical solutions and managed services to a diverse customer base, including government and financial sector clients. The team operates collaboratively, with a strong focus on technical excellence, continuous improvement, and client satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

• As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you'll be responsible for the hands-on technical delivery of cloud solutions and managed services. Your role will include:
• Building and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS)
• Monitoring Azure environments and resolving technical issues
• Troubleshooting Windows and network-related problems
• Responding to and resolving incident tickets
• Supporting root cause analysis and contributing to service improvement initiatives
• Automating tasks using PowerShell and cloud-native tools
• Participating in client meetings and collaborating with customers to resolve technical issues
• Providing on-call and out-of-hours support for server patching and maintenance

What experience you\'ll bring

• You'll bring experience in a technical engineering role, with a strong foundation in Azure cloud services and automation
• Proven expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS environments
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
• Experience in Windows administration (Linux experience desirable)
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and cloud-native Infrastructure as Code tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues
• Certification: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) - mandatory
• Additional Microsoft certifications - highly beneficial
• Experience working with public sector clients - advantageous
