Overview

Are you an experienced Section Manager or Site Supervisor looking for your next role? We are looking for a Section Manager at our Mangreen site in Norwich, Norfolk. Mangreen is a dynamic and multifaceted site with three core operational areas: an inert recovery landfill, inert recycling, and the production of Recycled Asphalt Product (RAP). As part of our continued growth and commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Section Manager to oversee day-to-day site activities and ensure smooth operations in the absence of the Operations Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of site performance, drive safety culture, and maintain compliance with environmental and planning regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site briefings, safety talks, and toolbox sessions to promote a strong safety-first culture
• Manage contractors across the landfill, recycling, and RAP production areas
• Monitor and improve operational performance using KPIs
• Maintain high standards of site housekeeping and presentation
• Control site costs in line with budget expectations
• Ensure full compliance with planning and environmental permit conditions
• Implement and maintain SOPs, HIRAs, and the Site Improvement Plan (SIP)
• Operate weighbridge and loading shovel as needed
• Inspect and document inbound inert waste, ensuring proper acceptance/rejection procedures
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including landowners, farm managers, Tarmac Pave, and third-party traffic management teams

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a similar industry
• Background in Inert Recovery & Recycling, Quarries, RMX, or Asphalt
• SHE Level 4 or 6 qualification (or willingness to undertake)
• IOSH Managing Safely certification
• Strong understanding of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
• WAMITAB certification (or willingness to undertake)
• Loading Shovel ticket and experience with weighbridge operations
