Psychology Teacher – Secondary – Reading

Start: ASAP Days: 3 days per week (Part-time) Contract: Ongoing / Long-term Location: Reading Pay: Competitive – paid to scale (MPS/UPS)

About the Role

You will be responsible for teaching Psychology across KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging lessons that support students’ understanding, critical thinking, and interest in human behaviour.

  • Teaching Psychology to GCSE and A-Level (KS4/KS5)
  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that challenge and inspire
  • Creating a positive classroom environment with high expectations
  • Tracking and assessing pupil progress
  • Contributing to the wider ethos of the Humanities/Social Sciences department
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support student outcomes
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or FE qualification with relevant experience
  • Strong subject knowledge in Psychology
  • Experience teaching KS4/KS5 is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning
  • Ability to work 3 days per week consistently
