About Northfield School

Northfield School is a large 11-16 community school and specialist sports college. We are an ambitious and inclusive school with state-of-the-art facilities and interactive technology in a well-resourced newly refurbished main building, a newly built separate Year 7 school, and extensive sports facilities shared with the community.

Science Department

The Science department is an innovative and supportive department seeking to share its passion of the subject with well-motivated pupils. The department consists of 14 fully equipped labs, preparation areas and a staff work room, including 4 brand new, state of the art labs in our recently opened new build. These labs have been designed with Science team input and have enabled us to develop unique learning spaces that match our teaching and learning needs.

Role and Requirements

We are looking to appoint a positive, flexible, proactive and enthusiastic Technician to join our highly successful and popular Science department. The ideal candidate will share our passion for science and be a highly motivated addition to our team.

Experience of working in a laboratory or school prep room is essential, and an understanding of Health and Safety requirements in a classroom or laboratory context is necessary.
