Science Technician £25,951 - £27,733 FTE per annum - £22,700 - £24,266 pro rata (dependant on experience) Perm; Full Time, Term time Only (0.875fte) Start date: February 2026

Are you passionate about science and skilled in practical laboratory work? We're looking for a Science Technician to support our Biology curriculum and assist across Chemistry, Physics, and Electronics.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare and maintain materials and apparatus for practical lessons and demonstrations.
  • Ensure experiments run smoothly by setting up and testing equipment.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, carry out repairs, and manage stock efficiently.
  • Support safe disposal of materials uphold Health & Safety standards, including COSHH compliance.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff on risk assessments and help students develop their lab skills.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has a passion for working with young people, helping others and creating a positive and professional environment;
  • Is clear, confident and professional in their communication with other members of the team;
  • Is able to deliver a high level of service in a busy environment;
  • Is flexible, able to work under pressure and proactively, both independently and as part of a team.
