About The Role

Grade A Recruitment is working in partnership with a mainstream secondary school in Peterborough to recruit a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to inspire and motivate students, delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons across KS3 KS4.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and practical science lessons across KS3 KS4.
  • Support students in developing scientific knowledge and practical skills through experiments and demonstrations.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of laboratory equipment, maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Prepare and maintain laboratory resources to support high-quality teaching.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a supportive and successful science department.
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Be a qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
  • Be confident in planning and delivering practical science lessons.
  • Have experience using laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
  • Hold relevant health and safety certificates (or be willing to obtain them).
  • Be passionate about teaching and able to inspire students to achieve their potential.
  • Be a team player with excellent communication skills.
