Science Laboratory Technician

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week, Term time only + 5 TED days

Salary: Scale 2 (pts 3-4), £20,603.47 - £20,926.70 per annum

Start: October/November 2025

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up equipment and materials for Science lessons
• Support students and teachers during practical sessions
• Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment
• Monitor and manage stock levels of chemicals and equipment
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records and inventories

The ideal candidate will have

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
• Suitability to work with children
• Broad experience
• Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety issues, particularly COSHH
• Good written and oral communication skills
• High standard of personal presentation
• Reliable and approachable
