• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming pupils, staff, visitors, and professionals with warmth and professionalism.
• Managing the school’s reception area to ensure it is tidy, safe, and well-presented.
• Handling incoming calls, emails, and enquiries, directing them to the right people.
• Assisting with general admin tasks such as filing, data entry, photocopying, and maintaining school records.
• Supporting the Senior Leadership Team and wider staff with day-to-day administrative tasks.
• Helping to prepare documents, letters, and basic reports.
• Managing the visitor sign-in process and ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed.
• Reporting maintenance issues or concerns to the School Caretaker.
• Supporting the implementation of Health & Safety and fire safety procedures.
• Liaising with parents, external agencies, and Head Office in a friendly and professional manner.

Full‑Time - 37.5 hours per week - Permanent - Term Time Only - £20,021.63 per annum

Your Role as a Receptionist

This is a busy and varied role perfect for someone who enjoys being at the centre of school life. Your responsibilities will include:

Front of House Duties

• Welcoming pupils, staff, visitors, and professionals with warmth and professionalism
• Managing the school’s reception area to ensure it is tidy, safe, and well‑presented
• Handling incoming calls, emails, and enquiries, directing them to the right people

Administrative Support

• Assisting with general admin tasks such as filing, data entry, photocopying, and maintaining school records
• Supporting the Senior Leadership Team and wider staff with day‑to‑day administrative tasks

Safety & School Operations

• Managing the visitor sign‑in process and ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed

Communication & Teamwork

• Liaising with parents, external agencies, and Head Office in a friendly and professional manner
• Supporting the smooth running of the school through strong communication and reliability
• Being a positive, calm, and helpful presence throughout the day
