SCHOOL OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR (Fixed Term - Maternity Cover)

LPT Grade 4 £25,867 - £27,701 FTE Salary, £20,057 - £21,479 Pro Rata

Hours

8.30 – 3.30pm (includes a 30 mins unpaid break), Monday to Friday, term time only including 3 INSET days.

The Role

We are looking for a highly organised, friendly, and proactive School Administrator to manage the day-to-day administrative duties of our school office. This is a fixed term position for up to one year, commencing in February 2026, for maternity cover. You will be the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the school office, handling emails, phone calls, and enquiries
  • Maintaining school records, registers, and databases
  • Supporting the Headteacher and staff with administrative tasks
  • Processing admissions and assisting with school communications
  • Organising school events, trips, and correspondence with parents
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection policies
About You
  • Organised and efficient, with great attention to detail
  • Friendly and approachable, with excellent communication skills
  • Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and school management software (training provided)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Committed to the ethos and values of our school
