Job summary

A progressive education provider in Maidenhead is seeking a full-time Mental Health Assistant to support students aged 7-18 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The ideal candidate will foster an engaging learning environment and implement therapeutic techniques to promote student well-being. Previous experience in psychology, art, music, or sports is advantageous. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable students starting in January.

Qualifications

  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
  • Genuine passion for supporting learning and mental health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, fun and engaging learning environment.
  • Encourage students to participate, focus on, and engage in their learning.
  • Support in tracking and relaying feedback to the class teacher.
  • Promote healthy coping strategies and support conflict resolution.
