The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and highly organized professional with a strong understanding of data management within a secondary school setting. They will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and effective use of data to support school improvement and accountability.

The successful candidate will:
  • Have proven experience working with data in a secondary school, ideally in a Data Manager or similar role
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of a school MIS (such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or equivalent)
  • Have a secure understanding of secondary assessment, progress tracking and performance measures
  • Be experienced in managing statutory data returns, including School Census, secondary assessment, progress, tracking and performance measures
  • Be experienced in managing statutory data returns, including School Census, attendance and examination data
  • Show exceptional attention to details and a commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Be confident analysing and presenting data clearly to senior leaders, governors and other stakeholders
  • Possess strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and data reporting tools
  • Be able to manage competing deadlines effectively and work calmly under pressure
  • Desirable attributes include experience with examination entries and results analysis, knowledge of GPDR and data protection in schools, and a proactive approach to improving data systems and processes
