School Cook/Caterer – Based at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School

Are you looking to be a school cook? Why not consider our Caterer position? We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can take the lead in the kitchen and implement our primary meal service. If you have high standards and enjoy a challenge, this could be the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities
  • Ability to prepare, cook, bake and serve meals to deadlines.
  • Assisting with ordering and menu planning.
  • Team supervision, under the direction of the Catering Manager and in their absence.
  • Knowledge of health & safety requirements and experience of completing routine checks to ensure a high standard of food hygiene.
  • Contributing to menu development and knowledge of school food standards.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills.

  • A temporary part‑time role of 32.5 hours per week for 39 weeks per year.
  • Salary upon appointment Grade 4 Scale Point 9 £25,989 (actual £19,548, with potential to rise to Point 12 £27,254 (actual £20,500)).
