Salary: 12.21 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Temporary School Caretaker to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the school premises are safe, clean, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the school site.
  • Ensure the building and grounds are secure, including opening and locking up the premises.
  • Monitor and maintain heating, lighting, and other facilities.
  • Support with health and safety compliance and emergency procedures.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers when required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role (school experience desirable).
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Good communication skills and a flexible approach.
  • Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain).
