Scheme Manager

29.5 Hours Per Week

Circa £22,692 per annum (FTE £28,461)

Horsham, West Sussex

Are you passionate about supporting older people and delivering an excellent customer experience? Saxon Weald are looking for an organised, resilient and enthusiastic Scheme Manager to join our housing team and help contribute to our purpose of enabling positive life chances by providing safe and secure homes.

The role will be working 29.5 hours per week, spread across four days. We can be flexible as to which days these are, as long as Fridays are included. The role will be predominantly based at one of our schemes in Horsham (Gerald Court) with one day per week spent completing checks at another local scheme.

Our Scheme Managers’ key priority is to facilitate and enable older people in retirement housing to live as independently as possible. On a day‑to‑day basis, you will be responsible for providing continuity for residents and colleagues in delivering excellent scheme‑based services including :

• Enhanced Housing Management service (EHM) advising on income maximisation, promoting independence and tenancy sustainment.
• Tenancy management low level rent arrears, antisocial behaviour and letting empty properties.
• Facilities management management of communal areas, health & safety, and compliance
• Partnership working developing relationships with external agencies in the community.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need to :

• Be personable, enthusiastic and customer focused in your approach
• Have experience working with older or vulnerable people
• Have effective and clear communication skills
• Be organised with the ability to manage conflicting demands
• The ability to build strong relations with internal and external stakeholders
• Have a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle
• Demonstrate behaviours that align with Saxon Weald’s values
