Job summary

A government project-focused company is seeking a skilled Database Engineer / DBA with strong experience in PostgreSQL to join their high-performing data team in Farnborough. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with AWS-hosted environments and have proven experience in database management, along with SC Clearance. This role requires approximately 1 day of onsite work in Farnborough each week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a DBA or Database Engineer working with PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable with Postgres in AWS-hosted environments.
• Solid understanding of performance tuning, database security, backup and recovery strategies.
• Experience with automation/scripting for DB maintenance (e.g., using Python, Bash, or Terraform is a plus).
• Existing SC Clearance.
• Willingness to undergo NPPV3 Police Clearance.
• Available to work on-site in Farnborough approx. 1 day per week.
