Job summary

A leading fitness apparel company is seeking an SAP Systems Manager to lead the operations of their SAP S/4HANA ERP system in Solihull. This hybrid role involves overseeing daily operations, leading SAP projects, and managing stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP ERP systems, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of finance and supply chain modules. Qualifications

Job description

Join us on a true greenfield journey - we’re upgrading our enterprise architecture with SAP S/4HANA to deliver a future‑ready ERP ecosystem and as the SAP Systems Manager you will provide leadership and technical expertise achieving operational targets while continuously evolving alongside Gymshark.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the SAP S/4HANA ERP (Public Cloud) system, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Lead SAP‑related projects including upgrades, module implementations and integrations.
  • Manage a small team of System Administrators, providing clear direction, roadmap delivery and coaching/mentoring.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver SAP solutions that support business processes, now and into the future.
  • Curate and manage lasting relationships with 3rd party suppliers, including regular touchpoints as well as contract and SOW reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address issues, investigating root causes and designing lasting and scalable resolutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, architectural diagrams and user guides.
  • Support the wider engineering teams as the SAP subject‑matter expert, advising throughout ideation and design phases as part of Agile practices to build collaborative, robust solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience managing SAP ERP systems (S/4HANA Public Cloud)
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules supporting Core Finance, Supply Chain and Procurement.
  • Experience in project management and delivering SAP related initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience in change management and user adoption strategies.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and approaches.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in the management and implementation of SAP Concur.
  • SAP certification(s) relevant to modules, administration or project management.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration or implementation.
  • Familiarity with integration tools and middleware (e.g. Integration Suite/BTP).
  • ITIL certification.
  • Adaptability in a high growth environment.
WORKING MODE & LOCATION:

This is a hybrid role. The suitable candidate will be expected to work from the HQ in Solihull office at least 3 days a week.

CONTRACT:

12‑month fixed term contract.
