Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Functional Business Analyst to support critical finance systems in a large-scale manufacturing organization. This hands-on role includes resolving SAP FICO issues, managing EDI configurations, and assisting in SAP projects. Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of SAP FICO modules and experience with VAT and tax accounting. This is an onsite role in the Midlands with a stable, long-term opportunity available, and sponsorship is provided.

SAP FICO Functional Business Analyst

We’re partnering with a large, established manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced SAP FICO Functional Business Analyst to support and enhance critical finance systems across a complex SAP landscape.

This is a hands-on, business-facing role combining BAU SAP FICO support, user engagement, and continuous improvement activity, alongside involvement in SAP project delivery.

What you’ll be doing

Working closely with Finance, IT and SAP project teams, you’ll be responsible for :

• Resolving SAP FICO-related issues via helpdesk tickets
• Managing SAP EDI and IDoc configuration, monitoring and error resolution
• Supporting and training SAP key users across Finance
• Contributing to SAP project work, including testing, training and data migration
• Driving continuous improvement through SAP enhancements, changes and mini-projects
• Expanding business use of SAP to improve financial and operational outcomes

This role will suit you if :

• You have strong hands-on experience across core SAP FICO modules, including :
• FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA, FI-Bank Accounting
• CO-CCA, CO-PCA, CO-IO, CO-PC
• You have experience with VAT declarations, tax accounting and profit / tax difference accounting
• You understand FICO integration with other SAP modules such as SD, MM, PP, QM, WM, APO, VMS or WTY
• You can demonstrate strong end-to-end FI / CO process knowledge, ideally within a manufacturing or automotive environment
• You’re confident translating business requirements into effective SAP solutions
• You’re analytical, customer-focused and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels
