Position Overview

Through our cultural focus behaviors, demonstrate a true passion and respect for the Ralph Lauren Home customer, product, and RL trade showroom environment. Embrace our Winning Culture by consistently meeting sales objectives through delivering the 5 key steps of service in store and via digital platforms: Create, Connect, Convert, Confirm, Continue. Identify new opportunities and generate sales to support the strategic growth of the Home Collection Business. Liaising closely with the Sales team, Interior Designers, Architects, Developers, and retail clients, acting as a brand ambassador.

Compensation

Commission: 1% of sales paid in arrears; once target is hit, commission increases to 2%.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Welcome and assist customers (Connect), identify needs (Convert), conclude transactions (Confirm), and maintain customer data to stay connected (Continue), providing the highest level of service.
  2. Exceed client expectations with in-depth knowledge of Ralph Lauren Home products and lifestyle collections.
  3. Consistently meet store and personal sales goals and KPIs by delivering personalized service and communication in store and through outreach.
  4. Have a good understanding of interior spaces, ergonomics, and proportions.
  5. Create design presentations and inspiration boards illustrating RL design concepts.
  6. Select and specify RL decorative items, including furniture, lighting, finishes, accessories, and rugs.
  7. Create and manage budgets; report on business and pipeline.
  8. Generate quotes and track projects from purchase to delivery and installation.
  9. Communicate product and customer feedback to buyers and managers.
  10. Attend industry networking events and socialize with target customers.
  11. Participate in showroom activities, including maintenance, inventory, replenishment, product launches, and seasonal floor changeovers, contributing to store briefs and training.
  12. Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
  13. Exhibit pride through positive demeanor, body language, personal presentation, and dress standards aligned with RL expectations.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and SOPs.

Pay Range

Max and Min based on experience, skills, and knowledge.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • 1-3 strategic cycles in the luxury Home sector.
  • Proven success in the luxury Home sector and retail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships.
  • Self-development focus to improve performance.
  • Confident communication (verbal and written) and professionalism.
  • Highly organized and proactive, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read architectural/construction drawings and sketch/diagram space plans and fixture layouts.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • AutoCAD and/or SketchUp skills are a plus.
  • 3D and CGI rendering proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to source and select decorative items.
  • Budget and project management skills.
