A leading used car marketplace is looking for a Business Development Sales Manager to lead a B2B sales team in Brighton. Your role will involve motivating your team to meet sales targets, using data analysis to inform strategy, and implementing sales processes to enhance performance. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of sales experience, with proven leadership and analytical abilities. This position provides an opportunity to work both on-site and remotely, fostering a dynamic, people-first culture.
Motorway is the UK’s fastest-growing used car marketplace – our award winning, online-only platform connects private car sellers with over 7,500 verified dealers nationwide, who compete to offer the best price. Founded in 2017, our technology makes the process refreshingly easy, earning us an 'Excellent' Trustpilot rating with over 70,000 reviews. We're not just building a platform; we're changing how people sell cars.
Backed by leading investors like Index Ventures and ICONIQ Growth, and following a successful $190 million funding round, we're on a mission to transform the used car market.
We're seeking a dynamic Business Development Sales Manager to lead a high-performing B2B sales team as we scale our dealer partnerships. You will manage a team of 10 B2B Sales Specialists across two critical growth areas: reactivating lapsed dealers and driving growth of existing accounts already active on Motorway.
This is a fungible team that is critical to delivering our sales growth targets. You'll be responsible for delivering core goals, but also identifying and executing new sales opportunities, deploying resources appropriately to maximise output, whether that's targeting new segments of Dealers, at-risk accounts, selling new products and features, or optimising for seasonal peaks.
Reporting into the Head of Growth & Transformation and working as part of the broader Dealer Services sales organisation, this is a critical role for driving team performance, coaching talent, and implementing processes that support our ambitious growth plans. Your team will be split between our Brighton office and remote colleagues in the Isle of Wight, requiring strong remote management capabilities.
