Job summary

A prominent steel stockholder in Sheffield is looking for a motivated Sales Support Specialist to drive sales by identifying new opportunities and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate should have excellent telephone communication skills, be enthusiastic, and have the ability to work independently. A background in dealing with Contractors or knowledge of landscaping and architectural products is advantageous. Responsibilities

  • Identify and research new sales opportunities to drive business.
  • Build and maintain contact databases for client relationships.
  • Provide technical support to new and existing customers.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term satisfaction.
  • Offer regular updates on new products and services available.
  • Follow up on quotations and provide feedback.
  • Gather customer feedback and competitive market information.
  • Contribute to the sales team's efforts by meeting targets.
  • Handle general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Process orders accurately and follow through until completion.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external emails.
  • Assist the administration function with transfers.
  • Organize transport bookings for courier services.

Responsibilities
  • Drives new business by identification and research into new sales opportunities.
  • Builds and maintains contact databases.
  • Support technically new and existing customers; recommend solutions.
  • Maintains relationships with existing clients
  • Provide regular, ongoing information on new products and services.
  • Actively following up all quotations raised and providing feedback
  • Gathering general customer feedback, market activities and competitor information
  • Contributes to sales team effort by meeting individual and team sales targets & Gross Margin targets.
  • General admin tasks
  • Processing orders on the system and following orders through from start to completion.
  • Responding to internal & external emails in a timely manner.
  • Support Administration function by helping with transfers.
  • Organising transport bookings for various couriers
