Responsibilities

Main duties:
As a Sales Engineer – Power Plant Solutions, you will combine technical expertise with project management responsibility, coordinating engineered solutions and on-site services for power plants, refineries, oil & gas facilities, and chemical plants. Acting as a trusted technical consultant within your assigned territory, you will collaborate closely with Sales Managers to develop and grow both existing and new projects. Reporting to the European Sales Manager, you will be responsible for solution development, project delivery, and technician coordination to ensure successful implementation and long-term customer satisfaction.

The role
  • Act as a technical consultant for clients within power generation, refining, oil & gas, and chemical industries
  • Manage and develop existing accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities in Italy
  • Build strong client relationships by understanding technical, operational, and project-specific requirements
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to develop sales strategies, technical proposals, and client presentations
  • Work closely with engineering and R&D teams to design compliant, industry-standard solutions
  • Prepare detailed technical proposals, including scope of work, timelines, and cost estimates
  • Support pricing strategies and participate in contract negotiations to meet client and business objectives
  • Oversee project execution from proposal stage through installation and post-project support
  • Coordinate on-site technician deployment, ensuring quality standards, safety compliance, and timely delivery
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and field technicians, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution
  • Provide ongoing technical support and optimization to maximize system performance and customer satisfaction
  • Liaise between customers and internal technical teams to address challenges and recommend improvements
  • Conduct follow-up visits to ensure solutions meet client expectations and performance targets
  • Monitor industry trends, market developments, and regulatory requirements
  • Support Sales Directors in identifying new market opportunities and expansion strategies
  • Contribute to go-to-market initiatives to strengthen competitive positioning and drive business growth
Candidate's Profile
  • Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken); French language skills are an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Proven experience in sales engineering, technical consulting, or project management, ideally within power generation or heavy industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of power generation systems, combined cycle gas turbines, heat recovery steam generators, refining, or chemical processes
  • Experience managing full project lifecycles, including technician coordination, on-site support, and schedule adherence
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to lead on-site technical teams
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned European territory, with occasional overseas travels.
