ReOrbit is looking for an experienced Sales Director - Oceania

This person will take the lead in selling Communications Satellites and developing the business in the Oceania Region within governments, civil and defence sectors, satellite operators, etc.

The Sales Director will be a key part of ReOrbit’s Sales Team, reporting to the VP of Sales at our headquarters in Helsinki, who is responsible for global sales. The person will take ownership of assigned client relationships, develop new markets within the Oceania region, and participate in conferences and seminars, engaging with stakeholders from the defence & space sector.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Sales Strategies for Oceania to meet the Regional Sales Target
  • Sell sovereign satellites, manage customer relationships, and develop new sales opportunities within the Oceania market.
  • Identify and establish relationships with Potential Customers, Partners, Governments and industry experts in Oceania market
  • Utilise professional selling and business development techniques combined with product knowledge to market ReOrbit products.
  • Gather customer requirements and work with the Solution Engineers to iterate on and improve ReOrbit product offerings.
  • Interact closely with the Global Sales Team to review business development opportunities, strategy, and current market landscape.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis for the Oceania Market to identify customer needs & market trends
  • Develop and maintain an accurate pipeline of sales opportunities in CRM, tracking all stages from Lead Generation to Closing
  • Represent ReOrbit in various forums, including conferences, trade fairs, telecommunication and connectivity panels, etc
  • Follow Legal aspects & Contracts in Oceania and provide regular updates on Oceania Space & Defence Policy
Skills and requirements
Essential
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Relevant experience in Space & Defence ecosystem in a business development or sales role
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience
  • Fluent in English
Desired
  • Independently motivated professional with a demonstrated track record of pursuing and closing complex deals
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Availability to frequently travel in Oceania, mainly Australia/New Zeeland/South East Asia
  • Good understanding of the telecom satellites market, satcom operations, and the communication market
  • Well-developed Oceania contacts network
