The Company

A well-established UK manufacturer operating within the print and packaging sector, specialising in flexible packaging solutions. The business has a strong reputation for quality, long-standing customer relationships, and a solid operational platform. With clear growth ambitions, the company is now entering its next phase of development and is investing in senior commercial leadership to drive that journey.

The Role

This is a pivotal, board-facing role with full ownership of the commercial function. The Sales Director will be responsible for setting and delivering the sales and commercial strategy, leading and developing the sales team, and driving sustainable revenue and margin growth across existing and new markets.

You will take responsibility for the sales number, shape go-to-market strategy, and work closely with operations and senior leadership to ensure commercial objectives align with manufacturing capability and long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full accountability for the commercial and sales performance of the business
  • Develop and execute a clear sales and growth strategy
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, embedding a high-performance culture
  • Manage and grow key customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities
  • Own pricing, margin management, forecasting, and pipeline visibility
  • Act as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy
About You
  • Proven experience within print and/or packaging, ideally flexible packaging
  • Currently operating at Head of Sales, Sales Director, or similar level
  • Experienced in managing a sales team and delivering against a significant sales target
  • Commercially astute with strong strategic and leadership capability
  • Comfortable working closely with operations and senior stakeholders
