OVERVIEW
Job Summary
The Operations Support role is crucial in reducing administrative workload for the sales and broader teams, enabling them to focus on revenue generation, delivery, and project closeouts. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Operations is the glue that holds the business together — no job is too big or small. You will also serve as a visible advocate for our commitment to achieving net-zero carbon.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Report daily to the Operations Manager and complete all allocated tasks.
- Support the sales team by:
- Creating and quality-checking quotes.
- Gathering supplier quotes.
- Placing and checking orders (OAs).
- Creating front sheets and managing handovers.
- Taking on ad hoc admin tasks to free up sales for client-facing work.
- Assist the project management team with snagging and site visits as required.
- Protect profit margins through diligence, adherence to procedures, and effective communication.
- Become proficient in using Cast’s internal software, Bonnie, for order placement.
- Champion and evolve operational procedures over time.
- Ensure O&M manuals and carbon reports are completed/submitted within deadlines and that offsetting payments are made on time.
- Manage the PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire) process as instructed.
- Organise and manage lunch & learn sessions and supplier events.
- Maintain accurate updates on the CRM system and Microsoft Teams.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of commercial furniture, product lifespans, and usage suitability (essential).
- Experience working with diverse supplier price lists.
- Familiarity with business systems for supplier orders and job costing.
- Skilled at quote production, raising POs, and spotting discrepancies in order acknowledgements.
- Numerically strong and highly computer literate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Patience and resilience to navigate long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a confident and methodical approach.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Qualifications & Experience
- Experience within the commercial furniture or FF&E sector (as a dealer or supplier) is essential.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- CRM system experience (advantageous).
- Excellent command of English — spelling, grammar, and formatting are non-negotiable.
- Adobe InDesign (desirable, not essential).
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Clean criminal record.
