This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Operations is the glue that holds the business together — no job is too big or small. You will also serve as a visible advocate for our commitment to achieving net-zero carbon.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Report daily to the Operations Manager and complete all allocated tasks.
  • Support the sales team by:
    • Creating and quality-checking quotes.
    • Gathering supplier quotes.
    • Placing and checking orders (OAs).
    • Creating front sheets and managing handovers.
    • Taking on ad hoc admin tasks to free up sales for client-facing work.
  • Assist the project management team with snagging and site visits as required.
  • Protect profit margins through diligence, adherence to procedures, and effective communication.
  • Become proficient in using Cast’s internal software, Bonnie, for order placement.
  • Champion and evolve operational procedures over time.
  • Ensure O&M manuals and carbon reports are completed/submitted within deadlines and that offsetting payments are made on time.
  • Manage the PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire) process as instructed.
  • Organise and manage lunch & learn sessions and supplier events.
  • Maintain accurate updates on the CRM system and Microsoft Teams.
Technical Skills Required
  • Strong knowledge of commercial furniture, product lifespans, and usage suitability (essential).
  • Experience working with diverse supplier price lists.
  • Familiarity with business systems for supplier orders and job costing.
  • Skilled at quote production, raising POs, and spotting discrepancies in order acknowledgements.
  • Numerically strong and highly computer literate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Patience and resilience to navigate long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a confident and methodical approach.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Committed to integrity, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Passionate about sustainability and aligned with Cast’s environmental mission.
  • Strong team ethos — “no job too big or small”.
  • Enthusiastic, pragmatic, and eager to shape and grow with the business.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience within the commercial furniture or FF&E sector (as a dealer or supplier) is essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • CRM system experience (advantageous).
  • Excellent command of English — spelling, grammar, and formatting are non-negotiable.
  • Adobe InDesign (desirable, not essential).
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Clean criminal record.
What We Offer
  • Engaged, dynamic leadership that provides autonomy and support.
  • A friendly, diverse, and collaborative team culture.
  • Competitive compensation package, including:
    • Great base salary.
    • Short- and long-term incentives and commission opportunities.
