Sales and Events Executive

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, East Street, Turners Hill, East Grinstead, Turners Hill, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH10 4QD

The Role

As Sales & Events Executive you will be working within a sales team of four and will be required to ensure success in both the reactive and proactive selling of Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa and Langshott Manor Hotel in all aspects of conference, day meetings, weddings and banqueting.

The Sales & Events Executive role will have responsibility for ensuring success across the following areas:

  • To reactively and proactively sell Alexander Hotel & Utopia Spa and Langshott Manor Hotel in all aspects of conference and banqueting
  • To handle telephone, email and online enquiries for functions including weddings, conferences and private dining
  • To carry out showrounds and appointments at the hotel
  • Completing the necessary administration to ensure the event is successful from a customer service and financial point of view
  • To produce and communicate function details for all internal stakeholders ensuring they are well briefed on forthcoming events both through function details and 1:1 meetings
  • To generate new leads and enquiries as well as maintaining existing/return business

Join our Sales and Events team reporting to our Sales Manager, Lizzie Wallis.

Requirements – Sales & Events Executive
  • Full time role, 40hrs per week including weekend appointments if required.
  • Previous sales co-ordination experience within a hospitality/events/wedding business is essential for this role.
  • Smart appearance and friendly telephone manner
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time and co-ordinate priorities effectively.
  • Driving license required for travel to and from appointments at Langshott Manor
Salary & Benefits

£25,396.80 per annum + monthly service charge payment + £3k sales bonus scheme. Please note that to be considered for this role candidates must have 12 months experience within a sales co-ordination role within a hotel or venue catering for weddings.
