DHU Health Care CIC is looking for Salaried GPs to join our Leicester family!

DHU Health Care is an ever-growing, innovative organisation with a sole focus on quality patient care, providing high level clinical care for a variety of communities within an expanding geographical area. DHU Health Care delivers and develops first class services specialising in Integrated Primary and Community Urgent Care services.

DHU is a Community Interest Company that has a history going back 30 years. DHU exists to provide caring, high quality, safe and effective healthcare to our patients and the communities we serve. We have no shareholders, and our profits are reinvested in the services we provide.

Within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland we provide a number of services. If you are working as a GP locally, you probably utilised one of our services. These include :

  • 24 / 7 Home Visiting Service
  • Loughborough Urgent Care Centre
  • Leicester City Hubs
  • Overnight community nursing services
  • Numerous urgent and primary care centres in Leicestershire and Rutland
  • NHS 111

In all our services, we have achieved CQCgood in all areas.

A bit about our GP surgeries

We have almost 15,000 patients in our 2 GP surgeries across 3 sites in Leicester City. These are historically GP surgeries which have struggled. With our expertise these GP surgeries are rapidly improving, and this has been recognised by CQC and our positive NHS Choices feedback.

We have ambitious plans for our GP surgeries. We are investing in our clinical workforce with a multidisciplinary team to include :

  • Upskilled Health Care Assistants and nursing team
  • Advanced Clinical Practitioners
  • First Contact physiotherapists
  • Pharmacists
