Rural Surveyor - Land Management (Utilities & Renewables)

Location: North Scotland

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Rural Surveyor to join a leading consultancy's Land Management team in the north of Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on major utilities and renewables projects, representing landowners and delivering tailored professional advice. You'll play a key role in negotiating land rights for large-scale infrastructure developments such as transmission lines, solar and wind farms, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). If you thrive on building strong client relationships, have excellent negotiation skills, and want to help shape the future of rural land management, this role is for you.

What You'll Do
  • Provide expert advice to landowners on land rights for utilities and renewable energy projects.
  • Negotiate commercial terms for option agreements leading to lease, sale, or servitude.
  • Handle compensation claims following survey and construction works.
  • Develop new business opportunities and grow your portfolio while maintaining exceptional service for existing clients.
  • Collaborate with other professional advisors (solicitors, accountants) to deliver unified, client-focused solutions.
  • Build and maintain a strong network with landowners, developers, and industry professionals.
  • Stay up to date with legislation and maintain technical expertise through CPD.
About You
  • Significant experience in land management advisory work, ideally within utilities and renewables.
