A major NHS healthcare provider in London is seeking an experienced Radiographer to ensure high standards in diagnostic imaging. The role involves training staff, assessing clinical referrals, and performing various imaging procedures while maintaining patient care standards. Ideal candidates should have a BSc in Diagnostic Imaging, be registered with the Health Professional Council, and possess CT scan experience. This position offers a supportive working environment as part of a large NHS trust striving for excellence in patient care.
The post holder will work to the highest standards and act as Practitioner for all diagnostic imaging in accordance with Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposure) Regulations; IR(ME)R (2000). A state registered Radiographer; the post holder will ensure that adequate training is delivered to all radiographic staff.
To assess the clinical justification of referrals in accordance with IR(ME)R (2000) and local protocols and liaise with referrers and radiologists to select the most appropriate imaging procedure.
