We are looking for flexible, motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 CT Radiographers to join our team. The post‑holder must be familiar with and comply with the following radiation safety legislation: Ionising Radiation Regulation (IRR17), Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2020 and the Trust Radiation Safety Policy.
The post‑holder will also work with the Team Leaders to continually improve the provision of the CT and Radiology service, make relevant operational management decisions and, in the Team Leader’s absence, escalates appropriately. They will assess and apply an evidence‑based approach to improving clinical practice, and be actively involved in the maintenance and formulation of department protocols.
They must be able to justify referrals within their scope of practice using referral criteria that fall within Departmental, NICE and the Royal College of Radiologists Guidelines, and conduct protocol examinations accordingly.
The post‑holder will commit to regular participation in the education, training and assessment of qualified radiographers, assistants, and students within their specialty, and will supervise learners and junior staff. They will give radiographic advice and guidance to a wide range of healthcare professionals and patients.
The post‑holder should have experience in CT scanning; however, a developmental role will be considered for suitable candidates.
Working pattern: 37.5 hrs per week. Commitment to out‑of‑hours is essential.
