Band 6 Rotational Pharmacist

Location: Essex

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 am – 17:15 pm

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: Ongoing

Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite only

Rate: £24 - £32/hour (Dependant on experience)

Job Overview:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Band 6 Rotational clinical Pharmacist to join this hospital’s pharmacy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience across a range of clinical specialties, develop your clinical skills, and make a real impact on patient care.

In this role, you will provide ward-based pharmacy support, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines throughout the patient journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing clinical pharmacy services to inpatient wards, including medicines reconciliation and therapeutic reviews.
  • Clinically screening prescriptions to ensure appropriateness, safety, and adherence to Trust guidelines
  • Ordering medications to ensure timely supply and avoid treatment delays
  • Identifying and resolving medicines-related issues in collaboration with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Supporting discharge planning through timely review and supply of take-home medications
  • Contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and continuous service improvement
