An established childcare provider in Hertford is seeking a passionate Room Leader to mentor and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring exceptional care and education for children aged 2-2.5 years. You will play a crucial role in fostering a fun and inclusive learning environment while promoting child welfare and using your strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Salary – Starting from: £29,536.00 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)
Location- Hertford, SG13
Hours- Full Time, 40 hours

We’re looking for a Room Leader to work within our Bright Horizons Hertford Nursery 2-2.5 year old room. Our Hertford Nursery opened in January 2020 and is located on the Foxholes Business Park with great transport links including local bus routes and is close to the Hertford East train station with on‑site parking is also available.
The nursery benefits from seven individual rooms, each tailored to each age group with fantastic resources. All of the rooms have been designed to be flexible and with good access to the garden area which the children enjoy regularly. The nursery is proudly Ofsted rated ‘Good’.

As a Room Leader, you will lead, mentor, support, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education, to help all children within the room to develop and meet their individual milestones. You will promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.
Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting – ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
