Responsibilities

• Pre brief and de-brief drivers on their daily runs.
• Liaise with drivers, regional partners and customers while vehicles are on the road.
• Record collection/delivery status and discrepancies.
• Move freight between runs to minimize failed collections.
• Recover increased costs through correct administration.
• Administrate all transport runs to correct standards.
• Contribute to a safe working environment through safety processes.
• Maintain and improve customer and interdepartmental communication.
• Co-operate with colleagues to improve productivity.

Overview

It's more than a job As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. The role includes managing fleet activities, coordinating deliveries, ensuring vehicle maintenance and complying with road safety, transport and logistics regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre brief and de-brief drivers on their daily runs.
• Liaise with drivers, regional partners and customers while vehicles are on the road over collection and delivery issues.
• Record collection/delivery status and discrepancies in dotnet and escalate where appropriate.
• Move freight between runs to ensure failed collections are minimized.
• Recovering increased costs and lost revenue through correct administration.
• Administrate all transport runs to the correct standard, eliminating disruption and additional workflows for other teams.
• Contribute to a safe working environment through the application of all relevant safety processes and recognized safe methods of working.
• Maintain and improve customer and interdepartmental communication and working relationships.
• Co-operate with colleagues to improve productivity and deliver excellent service.
