Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Assist in surgery
  • Address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions
  • Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and families
  • Conduct disease screening
  • Deliver health education programs
  • Deliver immunization programs
  • Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
  • Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
  • Provide nursing care
  • Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
Qualifications
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Acute care nursing certificate

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate
  • Pain management experience (type of treatment experience)

  • Ability to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and be physically demanding

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $47.99 to $58.87 per hour (to be negotiated) – 38.75 hours per week
