Overview

As a Customer Team Leader, you'll be part of a friendly team dedicated to helping our customers. You\'ll help lead the store team, coaching and supervising Customer Team Members and deputising for the Store Manager, while delivering great customer service and performing a range of tasks around the store such as re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.

What you\'ll do
  • Friendly and thoughtful service: provide friendly, welcoming, easy, helpful and thoughtful service every day, often taking ownership for managing the store and handling challenging situations
  • Develop your team\'s capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone\'s voice is valued and respected
  • Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational
  • Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to create a great shopping experience for customers
  • Support the store manager by deputising when they\'re not working and delivering a variety of HR processes
  • Lead the introduction of new products and services in-store, working with the team to implement change and encourage open feedback
  • Build relationships and engage with the local community, supporting the Store Manager with the local Co-op community plan
  • Balance leading and supporting the team with hands-on work on the shop floor
  • Demonstrate great people skills to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Show strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Be willing to learn, grow and develop leadership skills
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts
Pay, hours and contract
  • Pay: £13.99 per hour
  • Contract: 24 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part time
  • Working pattern: 5 varied shifts per week including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview
