Retail Assistant – Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Bedford, Bedfordshire. The role is a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts with a minimum of 12 hours worked over 3 days each week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits

• Ages 16‑20: £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.31 per hour

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Help customers find the items they are looking for
• Give fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for customers to buy
• Work with the rest of your team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work
• Enjoy being busy with a variety of tasks from deliveries to till service to cleaning and stock rotation
• Reliable and an important part of a small team; dependable on each shift
• A bit of flexibility – ready to cover different hours when team members are on holiday; rota is planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside work considered
